Young Ethiopian with an age of 30 years. Educationally, he has obtained MSc and BSc degree in Agr. Economics from Haromaya University. He has also obtained certificate in Coaching Leadership Development for attending on job training from 2004 – 2006. He is currently attending postgraduate studies in Theology abd Biblical studies. He has attended different short term training in the country and out of the country that ranges from technical to transformational leadership in terms of economic and social issues.
Mr. Gutu has worked for different organizations on sustainable community development program in different part of Ethiopia namely; for World Vision Int. Ethiopia, Erko Sustainable Development Association and Swedish Philadelphian Church Mission. He has good experience and achievements in working on food security at household level, Emergency Response, HIV/AIDS, Livelihood Enhancement, and Advocacy on Reproductive Health Rights. He has intensive work experience and best results on capacity building of organizations, government partners, community, and others. He is currently working as manager for Emergency Program for Save the Children USA-Ethiopian Country office
Mr. Gutu has also worked as a freelance consultant for Swedish Philadelphian Church Mission, Youth Impact Ethiopia, Dabus Children and Family Support organization, Child Hope, and Ethiopian kale Hiwot Church on designing agriculture, education, Health, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and knowledge management projects for couple of years. He had also remarkable experience in working with private business companies like Western University College, the Noble business group and DOMI Farming PLC.
Mr. Gutu was also lecturing couple of courses at University and College on economics and policies related to macro economic development, mathematical programming, microeconomics theory, and development economics. He is well acquainted with the skill of conducted and facilitated short term training on various topics related to economic development, management, decision making and business organization. He has good reputation in serving in management positions in Oromiya HIV/AIDS forum, Aira Alumni Association, Domi Farming PLC, Western University College and the Noble Business Group.
Currently, Mr. Gutu is working as Emergency Programs Manager for Save the Children Federation-USA in Ethiopia and also as head of Marketing and Development Research for DOMI Farming PLC. He has close work relationship with government officials making policy decisions, UN agencies in the country, International and National level NGOs. In the future he is envisaged to work on policy issues related to sustainable development at national level, Integration of Emergency into sustainable community development and Macro economy policy.
